ESDLT's Dan Theobald-Article "Taking Waste Out"

"Taking Waste Out" by Daniel L. Theobald

This is what wastewater treatment is about; Taking Waste Out.

I began in Wastewater treatment in 1987 as follows:

My father suggested I go into Wastewater Management. I had no clue what he was talking about.

So my father took a clear glass of water and poured salt, pepper and sugar into it.

It was a good enough first lesson that today I am a Wastewater and Industrial Safety Consultant and Trainer. I love helping people, whether it's the operators I train or the industries that hire me to find ways their wastewater treatment facilities can save them thousands of dollars.

As a Consultant, I rely on a number of my skills including my organizational and analytical skills.

The best way to quantify my Consulting Cost Reduction Accomplishments is to view a sampling of my Accomplishments at my web address as follows; http://www.esdlt.com/accomplishments-costreduction

Another way to see my accomplishments are to read quotes from my customers at my web address as follows; http://www.esdlt.com/references

As a Wastewater and Industrial Safety Consultant, I must identify problems and determine corrective action. I have to be flexible, think on my feet, and do several things at one time. Sometimes I am working on two projects at one time. Sometimes I react, but more often I want to act proactively and stay ahead of the game.

I enjoy my Wastewater and Industrial Safety Consultant and Training career so much that the only downside I see is having so many projects. Time Management is important. I am involved in multiple projects simultaneously. I typically maintain 4-8 consulting projects along with one or two training projects.

As a Trainer, I rely on a number of my skills including my organizational skills.

Since May 2000, I have been involved with the South Carolina Technical College's first satellite courses in wastewater that broadcast my training programs live to participating South Carolina Technical Colleges These training programs aid the training attendee in earning and maintaining their South Carolina wastewater operators license.

Once a South Carolina Wastewater Operators license is earned, a minimum of 12 hours of training must be completed bi-annually to maintain the wastewater operator's license.

An easy way to evaluate my Training Accomplishments is to view a sampling of Quotes from my Training Attendees which may be read at my web address as follows; http://www.esdlt.com/references_training_wwt

To optimize my Consulting & Training Services I always want to absorb and learn - learn, learn, learn - as much as I can.
